Office of Student and Community Relations

The Office of Student Community Relations supports students impacted by critical incidents, facing personal crises, or other complex issues. The office is here to provide advice, referrals, training, alternate dispute resolution methods and provide other support students and their families may need.

A 24/7 service for students to speak to a mental health professional in any language for free.

Centre for Indigenous Student Services

Indigenous students will find a safe community space that offers academic, spiritual, cultural and physical support, including writing and learning skills programs, career counselling, workshops and mentoring.

Athletics and Recreation

Exercise is a proven stress reliever! York University has countless recreational activities available to students. The Tait McKenzie Centre offers everything from pick-up basketball to trainer-led fitness classes.

Good2Talk

Good2Talk is a free, confidential helpline for Ontario post-secondary students, providing professional counselling and information, and referrals for mental health, addictions and well-being. It operates 24 hours every day of the year.
