It’s almost that time of year... exam season! We know it can be a stressful time, and we are here to remind you to take time for yourself in between classes and studying with some of our events and programs included below. If you need any support, check out our Student Services & Support team who is here for you. Connect with the Student Numeracy Assistance Centre at Keele (SNACK) if you need help in math or join a Peer-Assisted Study Session (PASS) to prepare for exams.

Feeling the study crunch? Let’s turn it into a Study Jam! Join us for a laid-back session where we can tackle our assignments, share tips and motivate each other. Bring your books, some snacks and your favourite study tunes if you want. It’s a great way to focus or study with friends.

Meet New People & Get Support with York International!
Every week, students are welcome to engage in a new topic of discussion or experience a new place at one of our events! York International has two upcoming social events including: Coffee Breaks, a weekly hang out for international students to enjoy conversation, coffee and snacks; and weekly advising sessions with an international student advisor who can help you with study permits, immigration etc.
16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence is an international campaign from November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, until December 10, Human Rights Day.
This year, The Centre and partners from across the University will host community events, talks, workshops and activities focused on the theme Resistance Through Rest, which emphasizes the importance of self-care, rest and healing as forms of resistance against gender-based violence.
During the 16 Days, York will recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on December 6 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Bergeron Centre.

Course Withdrawal Period: November 9 – December 3, 2024 – For more information about Course Withdrawal (W) please visit the Undergraduate Fall/Winter Important Dates page.
First Year Late Withdrawal – We are sensitive to the transitional issues faced by students in their first year of university studies. The Faculty exercises leniency in its consideration of petitions for late withdrawal.

Do you want to leave your mark on your community, connect with peers from different disciplines and earn 3.0 or 6.0 credits? When you join C4: Cross-Campus Capstone Classroom for fall, fall/winter or winter session, you will get the chance to work with off-campus partners, peers and professors while tackling a project bound to make a difference. Explore how you can get involved and submit an application.
