Professor Wu received his PhD in Sociology from the University of British Columbia in the spring of 2019. His research on political sociology, population migration, and urban studies has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including *PNAS*, *Social Forces*, *Urban Studies*, *Geoforum*, *International Political Science Review*, and *International Journal of Comparative Sociology*. He has also published opinion articles in *Macleans*, *Global Dialogue*, and *The Ubyssey*, and shared his research with the public via national and international radio and newspaper forums including *CBC Radio, Roundhouse Radio, Fairchild Radio, *and* University Herald.*

In 2019-2020, Professor Wu will teach SOCI3030 Social Statistics I, and SOCI6112 Quantitative Analysis.
