Module 1.  What to expect at university. The transition from high school to university can be an overwhelming change. In this video, York students from Jane and Finch will talk about what they wish they had known before arriving on campus, the challenges they faced, issues they didn’t understand, and, more generally, how they adjusted to university life.

Module 2.  Navigating in an unfamiliar setting. The focus in this video will be on the resources and people that students from Jane Finch found most helpful in navigating the academic and social dimensions of first year (e.g., The Writing Centre, The Jane and Finch Social Innovation Hub, Library tutorials, student clubs, etc.)  It will also include a discussion of the students’ favourite spaces on campus, accompanied by a virtual tour of those spaces.
