Awarded to a Liberal Arts and Professional Studies student with the best academic performance among those who have completed at least 36 credits with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 7.00 (B+) and who is majoring in an area of the social sciences: political science, sociology, interdisciplinary social science, Race, Ethnicity and Indigeneity, social work or economics. Established in honour of Ron Bordessa, Professor of Geography and Urban Studies, who served as Dean of Atkinson for two terms.
