Purpose:

The Communications and Website Assistant is responsible for creating print, digital, and multi-media resources, communications content, and maintaining websites.


Duties:

Under the direction of a permanent staff member the Communications and Website Assistant may be responsible for some or all the following tasks:

  • Create content and multi-media elements for print and digital promotional and advertising materials including still and motion graphics, logos, branding, and self-serve user guides.
  • Assist with documenting events by creating video, audio, and multimedia productions.
  • Ensure that content and materials adhere to brand standards and in accordance with marketing standards.
  • Create and update websites by adding and editing graphical elements, formatting, and uploading various media files etc.
  • Suggest and implement improvements and upgrades to enhance website functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and inter-departmental teams to support social media strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • Archive and maintain digital and multimedia files, materials, and inventory.
  • Gather information on existing trends and conduct fact checking to support content pitch creation.
