Canadian Ambassador to Germany to discuss Germany's Prospects on the Eve of The New Millennium during York U. lecture

TORONTO, March 8, 1999 -- Canadian Ambassador to Germany GaÎtan Lavertu will examine some of the prospects and challenges facing Germany during a lecture entitled Germany's Prospects on the Eve of the New Millennium at York University, Tuesday, March 9, 1999.

Lavertu's lecture is sponsored by York University's Canadian Centre for German and European Studies, a Canada-wide research and teaching resource focusing on contemporary Germany in its European context. Established in 1997, the Centre is a cooperative initiative of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), l'UniversitÈ de MontrÈal, and York University.
