Dr. David Hood, founding Director of the Muscle Health Research Centre has received the prestigious Sarrazin Award from the Canadian Physiological Society!
The Sarrazin Award was initiated in 1976 by the Society for a “Distinguished Speaker” to give a lecture to the Society at its Annual Meeting and that the Lectureship would be called the “Sarrazin Lecture” in recognition of “the First Canadian Physiologist”, Michel Sarrazin (https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/michel-sarrazin).
This is one of the highest recognitions from the Canadian physiology research community, which is recognizing Dr. Hood's numerous contributions to muscle physiology and metabolism!
