The free admission York Lions Men\u2019s Hockey Diabetes Awareness &amp; Dahlgren\u2019s Diabeauties Game will take place at Canlan Ice Sports located on \u00a0York\u2019s Keele campus.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14104 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/news.yorku.ca\/files\/diabeauties-600x338.jpg\" alt=\"image of Dahlgren's Diabeauties Night\" width=\"421\" height=\"237\" \/>Dubbed as Dahlgren\u2019s Diabeauties Night, the game will be preceded by an on-ice presentation by Lions forward Kaleb Dahlgren, who lives with Type 1 diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>\"I want the children with Type 1 diabetes to meet someone who has gone through what they are going through and help them understand that having diabetes does not stop them from living their lives to the absolute fullest,\" says Dahlgren, who founded the advocacy program Dahlgren\u2019s Diabeauties to encourage children with diabetes to pursue their dreams and not let diabetes get in their way.<\/p>\n<p>A Humboldt Broncos crash survivor, Dahlgren will also sign pictures and photographs with attendees to the game, during the second intermission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/yorkulions.ca\/sports\/2018\/11\/5\/dahlgrens-diabeauties.aspx\">The York Lions Men\u2019s Hockey Diabetes Awareness &amp; Dahlgren\u2019s Diabeauties Game<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO: <\/strong>Humboldt Broncos crash survivor and York Lions Men\u2019s Hockey forward <a href=\"https:\/\/yorkulions.ca\/sports\/mens-ice-hockey\/roster\/kaleb-dahlgren\/6988\">Kaleb Dahlgren<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN:<\/strong> Saturday, November 16, 2019, 2:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHERE:<\/strong>\u00a0Canlan Ice Sports, 989 Murray Ross Parkway, York University Keele Campus (building number 1 on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/maps.info.yorku.ca\/files\/2013\/02\/KEELE_Map_Colour.pdf\">map<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><em>York University champions new ways of thinking that drive teaching and research excellence.
