Our students are our biggest source of pride. We ensure that they are provided with an accessible education with a rich learning environment so that they have the support they need to succeed.
3. Community engagement
At York, we are committed to making a difference in our community, and we are fortunate that our students, faculty and staff share this same passion. Our location allows us opportunities to work collaboratively with diverse community partners across all sectors on research, learning and service initiatives that result in mutual and societal benefit.
4. Valuing people
Our success depends on the people who make up the York community. We are committed to nurturing a culture of mutual respect where the contributions of all our members are valued.
5. Resource integration and sustainability
York University strives to be a leading post-secondary institution for sustainability. We are committed to enhancing our environmentally and socially responsible practices for the benefit of all members of the York community. Our long term perspective recognizes our responsibility to be innovators and to continually work as a community to reduce our ecological impact.
The IRP framework along with the Process Reengineering and Service Enhancement (PRASE) program will assist the University in developing a viable administrative infrastructure, effective services, and resource integration in support of its core mission. Decisions on scarce resources must be aligned with academic objectives to ensure the successful implementation of core priorities.
