In 2009, York Professor Seth Feldman<\/a> in the Faculty of Fine Arts<\/a>' Department of Film<\/a> marked the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin\u2019s transformational and contentious book,\u00a0On the Origin of Species<\/em><\/a>, by producing his 26th documentary for CBC Radio\u2019s <\/em>\"Ideas<\/a>\".<\/p>\n

Feldman is the director of York\u2019s Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies<\/a>. His series \"The Evolution of Charles Darwin<\/a>\" was broadcast from November 11 to December 2, 2009. Each of the four episodes explored the life and ideas of the evolutionary \u2013 and revolutionary \u2013 scientist, both in his own time and now.<\/p>\n

The episodes are available on CBC's \"Ideas\" Web site <\/a>archive of past episodes. Each episode is approximately 55 minutes.<\/p>\n
