The Asian Business and Management Program (ABMP) at York University invites you to a unique series of free career-building events, delivered entirely in Mandarin, designed to help you build connections, gain career insights and celebrate your academic journey with peers who share your experiences.

This is your chance to connect, grow, and succeed in a language you’re most comfortable with!

Professional Experience Program (Research Assistant)

Includes all three Career Building Events plus an additional Research Skills Module. Perfect for those aiming for graduate studies or research-related roles in the future.

Registration is free. You can attend as many events as you like, but we strongly recommend attending all three for maximum benefit.

  • Q&A Sessions: Get real answers to your questions about navigating the North American job market.
  • Community Engagement: Connect with panelists and fellow attendees in a welcoming virtual space.

Storytelling Panel Date:
May 16, 2025 • 2:00–5:00pm EST

Location: York University, Toronto + Online (Zoom link provided upon registration) 

Language: Mandarin.

What to Expect:

  • Share Your Story: Submit a short, creative video in Mandarin or English showing how your international experience has shaped your education (what you study, new skills you learned), career aspirations (what kind of job you want, what you hope to achieve), and personal growth (how you have become more independent, more confident, or more open-minded).
  • Win Big: Two winning entries each receive a $500 prize and an opportunity to present at the Storytelling Panel.
  • Be Part of the Spotlight: Join the panel event to celebrate the creativity and unique journeys of Chinese students like you.
