The Filipino Diaspora in Canada: Celebrating Successes and Addressing Persistent Challenges

The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto and York University jointly invite you to a public forum celebrating the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Canada this year, 2024.
Doors open at 18:30 EDT.
The forum features a panel of distinguished Filipino Canadians who will share their journeys towards professional leadership positions in various fields. The discussion will address the role of family, community, education and mentorship in navigating career success. In addition to reflecting on their successes, the panel will also consider what Filipino identity now means in the Canadian context, and the barriers and challenges still faced by the community.
