Hong Kong Studies Graduate Workshop 2026

Professor Laikwan Pang, the Choh Ming Li Professor of Cultural Studies and Head of the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, will lead this year's workshop.

Professor Pang is a leading scholar of modern and contemporary Chinese and Hong Kong culture. She is internationally recognized for her influential work on cultural theory, film and visual culture, intellectual property, and socialist China.

This workshop is held in conjunction with the Ninth Bernard H.K. Luk Memorial Lecture in Hong Kong Studies, which will be held on 30 September 2026.
