How to Love in Sanskrit

Wednesday, 21 October 2026 | 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. | Room 302, Accolade West Building, Keele Campus, York University and virtually via Zoom

Anusha Rao (New York University) and Suhas Mahesh (Independent Translator)

Anusha Rao currently teaches South Asian Religions at New York University. She holds a PhD in Sanskrit intellectual traditions from the University of Toronto. Alongside her academic research, she writes short, sharp essays where classical Sanskrit meets everyday life.

Suhas Mahesh is a scholar of Sanskrit and Indian literature—and, by day, a materials physicist with a doctorate from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Suhas brings a scientist’s precision to the pleasures of Sanskrit verse.

Virtual attendees can register at this link.

This event is part of the Demos, Democracy and Democratization: South Asia Lecture Series 2026–27.
