Group Members / Darshini Pathmanathan

Darshini was born and raised in Negombo, Sri Lanka. She earned her B.Sc. in Natural Sciences from the Open University of Sri Lanka. She has worked as a researcher in several laboratories, including organic chemistry and biology labs at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and York University, gaining experience in protein-focused projects, analytical techniques, and organic synthesis. She joined York University as a Master’s student in the Fall 2025, where she is working on DNA-Encoded Libraries. Outside the lab, she enjoys listening to music and creating children’s books through writing, illustration, and graphic design.
