Considered one of the most dynamic and strategic business development executives in the country, Sam currently oversees all business development for IMG Canada, one of the largest sports, entertainment and media companies in the world. This includes sponsorship across all of IMG Canada owned and represented properties, property development/creation and athlete endorsements. Some of the properties and personalities that Sam works closely include the Canadian Soccer Association, Mike Weir, LG Fashion Week, Alexander Ovechkin, TELUS Skins Game, Steve Nash & Red Bull Crashed Ice. Sam has been with IMG for four and half years and during his tenure has successfully developed numerous multi-million dollar partnerships with category leaders across a wide array of industries. Sam has held numerous senior sponsorship and marketing positions in Canada. Prior to IMG Sam was the Vice-President of Sales at the entertainment sponsorship agency, Wakeham & Associates, where he concluded a number of major partnerships including the 10-year naming rights agreement of the Panasonic Theatre in downtown Toronto. Sam spent three and a half years at the Canadian Football League as the Director of Sponsorship Sales (2001 - 2004) where he helped triple the annual sponsorship revenue of the League and developed partnerships with more than 30 leading Canadian companies. Sam began his career at Lang & Associations (later became the GEM Group) where he worked with corporate clients to develop and activate their sponsorships and with properties to help engineer their sponsorship programs. An alumnus of York University and the Sport Administration Program, Sam also holds a Masters Degree in Sport Management from Ohio State University.
