Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Housing Supply Challenge
November 26 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
|The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Housing Supply Challenge invites applications to propose new ideas and solutions that break down the barriers that limit new housing supply. The Challenge is part of Impact Canada in collaboration with the Impact and Innovation in the Privy Council Office and Infrastructure Canada. A summary is provided below. |
Objectives are to:
Address barriers to housing supply and affordability
Enhance community engagement
Inspire others to scale or adapt ideas for “Canada-wide impact”
Cultivate collaboration and partnerships
The first round, Data Driven seeks solutions to address gaps in housing data which are often outdated, inconsistent and not openly available, making it more difficult to manage housing supply issues.
In round one, applicants are encouraged to strive for solutions that:
Result in a long-term reduction or elimination of an identified barrier
Are accessible to potential users of housing data
Reflect the diverse realities of people living in Canada
Have the potential to deliver Canada-wide impact
Implementation must be completed by March 2023
