To help fill the knowledge gap and in turn attract talented students to the field, the Department of Physics and Astronomy hosts a contest for high school students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Guided by examples in the biophysical realm, students are asked to submit a presentation on a topic where the principles and methods of physics are employed to confront a problem in the life sciences.
