Understanding Intersectionality and Social Location

November 15 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Have you heard of intersectionality? Do you know what social location is? Can you distinguish between equality and equity? Were you aware that these important concepts have a direct impact on your leadership style? If you're interested in learning about these concepts, and/or would like to examine how power and knowledge are (re)produced in society, join us in this workshop! Together we will begin to explore what constitutes power and privilege in our society, how you may fit into it (social location), and some ways in which you can begin to work towards diversity, equity and inclusion.
