Joel Roberts was appointed to the Board of Governors on July 1, 2017 and serves as a member of the Academic Resources and Investment Committees,
Mr. Roberts is completing his second year of PhD Studies in Political Science. He is a Teaching Assistant, Markets and Democracy: The Development of Industrial Society. His areas of research include political economy, corporate power and climate change, as well as the history of classical and neoclassical economic thought. He is a volunteer with West End YMCA, currently serving on their Investment and Youth Advisory Committees. He attended the American University of Cairo in 2009-10 and 2011-12 during which time he volunteered as an English teacher with Student Action for Refugees.
