Loretta Lam was appointed to the Board of Governors October 3, 2017 and serves as a member of the External Relations Committee.
Ms. Lam is Chief Strategist and Founder, Focus Communications Inc. With over 20 years of professional experience in marketing and public relations, Loretta is an industry guru who formerly held management and consultant positions at leading multinational firms such as Hill & Knowlton and The Communications Group in Canada, and Ogilvy Asia.
She instigated the “bridging the Chinese and Canadian markets” initiative in 1995 when she was president of the Chinese Canadian Advertising Marketing Media Association. She has successfully introduced ethnic marketing to mainstream industry associations and media, including Marketing Magazine’s first special feature on Chinese Canadian Advertising Awards, which evolved to become the annual Multicultural Marketing Report and Awards.

Loretta is an entrepreneur awards winner and an active speaker, awards judge, and frequent article contributor in areas of entrepreneurship and marketing in Canada, including International Association of Business Communicators’ World Conference, IABC Gold Quill Int’l Awards, CIBC World Conference, and Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
