Description: Identifies the individuals who may be consulted regarding University work projects in the instances where such services cannot be provided by the University's staff.

Policy

York University may engage consulting engineers and other consultants to provide planning, design, supervision, project management, investigatory or advisory services related to the construction, renovation, alteration, repair and operation of the University's physical facilities, when such services cannot be provided by the University's staff.

The selection of planners, architects and landscape architects is covered by this policy, except in the case of major commissions, which are subject to the policy on Selection Of Architects, Planners And Landscape Architects

The Vice-President (Finance and Administration) is authorized to develop and amend related procedures as required.
