WEBVTT 1 00:00:02.790 --> 00:00:27.769 Natasha May (she/her): Hello! My name is Natasha May. I'm an educational developer in the Teaching Commons. And in this next blog post in our series about the graduate student programming at the Teaching Commons, we're going to talk about the record of completion certificates. So maybe the most important thing to to say is that some of you may know these certificates as the junior and senior record of completion certificates, and in our redesign 2 00:00:27.870 --> 00:00:36.780 Natasha May (she/her): we have chosen to rename those certificates to better reflect the certificates themselves as well as our belief 3 00:00:36.880 --> 00:00:59.709 Natasha May (she/her): and restructuring, so that there's no hierarch hierarchical set of certificates or programs anymore. So junior and senior suggested that there was some kind of hierarchy between them, and that never actually was the case. So now we've renamed them to be more descriptive of the certificates themselves. So one certificate is now called 4 00:00:59.710 --> 00:01:11.880 Natasha May (she/her): the Record of Completion certificate for engaging in higher education, teaching and learning workshops. So that was formally the junior certificate, requiring 5 workshops in one academic year 5 00:01:12.190 --> 00:01:28.169 Natasha May (she/her): and the other record of completion certificate is called the Record of Completion Certificate for Supporting Teaching at York, because this requires 4 workshops in one academic year and attending the Supporting Teaching At York or STAY symposium. 6 00:01:28.850 --> 00:01:38.090 Natasha May (she/her): Yup. Hopefully, you wish to read more about those certificates, and hopefully, we see you in some workshops or at the stay symposium soon.
