As a final stage in the measures taken to respond and protect the institution against the recent cyber attack, we will be conducting a validation of all York computers to ensure security of all systems.  The validation includes some scanning of PCs and laptops that may result in temporary but noticeable performance impact, although all systems should remain usable.  To further minimize the chance of impacting work, we are running the bulk of these scans over the weekend, starting at 3:30 p.m. today.  To allow scans to complete over the weekend, please ensure PCs and laptops are left on during that time.
