Service Maintenance:
Central Active Directory

Scheduled Maintenance Window:
Start: Tuesday May 13, 2025 10:00 a.m.
End: Tuesday May 13, 2025 11:59 a.m.

Impact/Details:

• We do not expect any impact to services relying on Central Active Directory.
• UIT teams will extend Active Directory schema to introduce new Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS).
• If Faculty IT is using UIT L1 security standard desktop GPO, we will inform you when UIT will switch from old Microsoft LAPS to new Windows LAPS. This change should be transparent.
• If Faculty IT manages its own L1 security standard GPO, you may wish to consult with Infosec on your plan to switch from old Microsoft LAPS to new Windows LAPS.
