Please be advised that the Mac OS X 10.8.3 update which was released by Apple last week interferes with normal operation of UIT's Remote Access VPN service on client computers which use Mac OS X.
When attempting to start the VPN client, the "Loading Components" page is displayed in the web browser and the VPN startup seems to never progress further. This symptom is evident when attempting to launch the VPN service using the Safari browser.
It is still possible to launch and successfully use the VPN client when using the Firefox web browser instead of Safari.
Affected versions of software: Mac OS X 10.8.3 with Safari 6.03
Work-around software versions:
Mac OS X 10.8.3 with Firefox (has been tested with 16.0.1 and with 19.0.2)Mac OS X 10.8.2 and earlier (Safari or Firefox web browsers)
