On March 1st, Bill Graham, minister of foreign affairs and international trade of Canada, headlined the eighth Annual International Conference at York”s Glendon College on “Russia: The Challenge of Change”. Graham was part of a panel on “Canada-Russian Relations”, speaking about “A Canadian View”.
Members of the York community who took part in the conference were: Principal Kenneth McRoberts, Glendon College, who made the opening remarks; Prof. Sergei Plekhanov, Department of Political Science, and coordinator, Post-Communist Studies Program; Prof. Richard Pope, Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics; Prof. Stanislav Kirschbaum, International Studies and Political Science, Glendon College; and Alina Pekarsky, project director, Corporate Governance in Russia Program, Schulich School of Business, and director, Canada-Russia Business Forum.
