Introducing the inaugural cohort of York University President's Ambassadors

York University is pleased to announce the first cohort of students selected to participate in the President’s Ambassador Program.

This diverse group of multi-talented undergraduate and graduate students are engaged York community members who will share their commitment for the University through various institutional events and initiatives. We thank all students who applied for the program for their involvement and enthusiasm for the University.

“I am delighted to congratulate and welcome this dynamic group of engaged student leaders who are passionate about York University into these new roles,” said President and Vice-Chancellor Rhonda L. Lenton. “Beyond their academic work, these students actively participate in diverse University activities supporting students and the University, and I look forward to learning about their experiences and ideas for community engagement at York.”

Ambassadors have already participated in a number of institutional and community events this fall, including the United Way Pancake Breakfast, Convocation, Scholar’s Hub, York Circle and the Day on the Hill.

Designed to provide York students with a unique perspective on the University community, the President’s Ambassador Program offers opportunities for current students to serve as representatives of the University and to share their experiences as York students with other students, staff, faculty and alumni.

First year students are now eligible to apply to the program to join the 2018-19 cohort of President’s Ambassadors. Applications can be found here and are due Monday, December 3.
