A new master's program at York University's Schulich School of Business will offer a broad range of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) applications combined with business skills.

The new Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) program, now accepting applications for September of this year, is a 12-month career-focused degree. The program is specifically designed to meet a growing demand for talented professionals with the skills and advanced applied knowledge to develop, evaluate, refine and implement AI-related applications and technologies.

The new Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) degree program is accepting applications for September

“In the coming decade, the demand for talented individuals with management skills and knowledge of advanced AI applications will continue to grow exponentially,” said Professor Murat Kristal, program director of the Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence program. “The MMAI program will produce well-rounded managers who have the potential to become leaders in the fast-growing and transformative field of AI.”

Over the course of three consecutive terms of full-time study, students in the MMAI program will focus on strategic thinking, managerial decision-making, AI technologies, design techniques and ethics in AI. The program includes an integrative, hands-on consulting project for real-world clients that will take place over the second and third terms. During the consulting project, students will make extensive use of the Deloitte Cognitive Analytics & Visualization Lab located in the newly opened Rob and Cheryl McEwen Graduate Study & Research Building, and will also spend time at client sites, interacting with various stakeholders such as line managers, technicians, customers and suppliers.

Prospective students are invited to attend the MMAI program’s launch event on May 13, which will feature a panel discussion with AI experts and business leaders and will provide an opportunity to network with other prospective students, faculty and alumni. Register here to attend.
