York Cares United Way Campaign extended to Dec. 4

Staff and faculty at York University have already raised an impressive $66,433 for this year’s York Cares United Way Campaign. However, more support is needed to achieve the University’s goal of $150,000, which will help fund local organizations through the United Way Greater Toronto.

As a community of changemakers, York University is dedicated to creating positive change for our students, colleagues and the wider community. Individual contributions can make a significant impact – every dollar counts.

How to help

A personalized link to the pledge form will be sent out today.

  • Payroll donations can be made until Dec. 4.
  • Credit card donations will be accepted until Dec. 31, contributing to this year’s campaign total.

Every donation makes a difference

Your support will:

  • help people meet essential needs through mental health supports, food security initiatives, employment programs and housing assistance;
  • help create economic opportunities in neighbourhoods most affected by the pandemic, advocating for emergency paid leave and affordable housing; and
  • help strengthen the infrastructure of agencies serving marginalized communities, particularly Indigenous- and Black-led organizations, to challenge and change systems of bias and discrimination.

Join the University in supporting this vital cause and making a tangible difference in the community. Together, we can create a better future for all.
