Keele Campus parking enhancements coming Sept. 1

York University's Parking Services has announced important changes to parking inventory at the Keele Campus. The updates will enhance convenience and improve access to key campus venues beginning Sept. 1.

Improvements to parking include:

  • Founders Road West Lot will be converted into a daily pay lot. This change will support the increasing demand for short-term parking options close to campus amenities and event venues.
  • Founders Road East Lot will be rebalanced to accommodate permit holders, with:
    • the middle and south sections designated exclusively for permit parking; and
    • the north section remaining a daily pay area, offering additional daily pay spaces.
  • Ian MacDonald Boulevard – 12 additional pay parking spaces will be created in the north and south laybys along Ian MacDonald Boulevard, located in front of the Toronto Track & Field Centre and the West Office Building.

This realignment of parking designations is part of York's ongoing commitment to right-size parking resources in a way that better serves the needs of both permit holders and daily visitors. By relocating daily pay parking closer to high-traffic venues and ensuring ample permit space within Founders Road East Lot, these updates will improve both accessibility and efficiency.

Support and understanding are appreciated as enhancements are implemented. The objective remains to ensure a positive and well-organized parking experience for all users.
