I’m writing to let you know about the 2025 winter holiday schedule. Please note that in addition to the holidays previously scheduled for Dec. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and Jan. 1, the University will be extending the holiday period for University employees to include a Presidential Grant Day on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 without loss of their regular pay for this additional date.

Decisions regarding Presidential Grant Days consider budgetary and operational circumstances and is an opportunity to recognize the dedication and contributions of faculty and staff when possible.
The University appreciates that many employees in CUPE 1356, CUPE 1356-1 and IUOE 772 are involved in continuous operations with varying work schedules, in which case collective agreement provisions associated with the days comprising the holiday period will apply.
