Free wellness events return for York’s Well-being Week

Fall Well-being Week at York University will take place Oct. 6 to 10, and marks one-year since of the launch of York’s Well-being Strategy

This strategy serves as a guiding framework to help students, staff, faculty and instructors thrive academically and professionally.

Embedded within the strategy, Well-being Week mobilizes services and resources across York to create a vibrant, supportive environment. It aims to help community members flourish while raising awareness for the ongoing well-being programming and supports available all year.

This year’s theme – Embracing All Dimensions of Well-being – highlights York’s inclusive and comprehensive approach, recognizing that well-being is multifaceted, encompassing mental, physical, social, occupational, financial, spiritual and cultural dimensions of well-being.

Through interactive sessions, hands-on workshops and engaging activities – from fitness challenges and nature hikes to health fairs, food promos and goal-setting workshops – community members across all three campuses will have an opportunity to learn more.

In addition to the range of activities, some events feature guest speakers, specific supports and practical tools for working across differences and differing perspectives in work environments, interfaith communities and in diverse classrooms emphasizing how dialogue can transform conflict and contribute to healing, resilience and stronger campus communities. Some events require registration.
