Admission is $5.<\/p>\n<p>Ranging from highly personal experimental videos to dramatic fiction and documentary films, the works span a wide variety of themes and cinematic styles.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/photos\/20030613\/3shadows.jpg\" alt=\"\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"8\" \/>Right: Scene from <em>Shadows Rising<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of an introduction\u00a0to York\u2019s student filmmakers, a June 5 article appearing on the Kodak Student Filmmakers\u2019 Web site notes that, \"while Tinseltown panics over the rise in runaway productions, Canadians have quietly been turning Toronto into \u2018Hollywood North\u2019.\"<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The article goes on to quote York University film student Eliza Billes as saying she wants to write and direct feature-length Canadian films.
