From the evening of Monday, Jan. 21 to the morning of Friday, Jan. 25, the westbound curb lane of Highway 7 West from Jane Street to Edgeley Boulevard will be closed between 9:30pm and 6:30am to allow for the safe installation of secant piles on the north side of Highway 7. Two lanes will always remain open westbound and three lanes will remain open eastbound. In the case of bad weather, the lane closure may be cancelled.<\/p>\n

Due to the nature of the work, motorists may face traffic delays. Motorists are asked to obey all signs, use extra care and slow down through this construction zone. The section of Highway 7 between Interchange Way and Jane Street continues to be posted at a reduced speed limit of 50 km\/h.<\/p>\n

During this work, there may be construction-related noise. The City of Vaughan has approved a noise bylaw amendment, allowing the contractor to perform overnight and weekend work when required to minimize long-term disruption and to keep the project on schedule.<\/p>\n

York Region Transit (YRT) delays may be experienced on the YRT\/Viva Highway 7\/Centre 77 route and the Brampton 501 route.<\/p>\n

Sidewalks will remain open on the south side of Highway 7 to maintain pedestrian access during this portion of construction. Pedestrians should take extra care while travelling near construction.<\/p>\n
