Moshe Milevsky<\/b>, finance professor at York\u2019s Schulich School of Business, thinks his barber Enzo should invest more in stocks than his finance students should. \u201cThe jobs of people who work on Wall Street are very sensitive to the economy and stock market,\u201d said Milevsky in Businessweek<\/i> Feb. 20. \u201cI tell them, \u2018I don\u2019t care how risk-tolerant or young you are. Pressure to perform<\/a>
\nPlenty can \u2013 and does \u2013 go wrong with [scientific] presentations. But a researcher can deliver a memorable talk by following a few basic principles, rehearsing often in front of different listeners and making a back\u00adup plan\u2026.Before putting a talk together, presenters need to determine their audience\u2019s level of expertise\u2026.\u201cIf there\u2019s any doubt, if you have any questions about the level you should be pitching to, you should consult the scientific organizing committee of the conference,\u201d said York University astronomer Michael De Robertis<\/b> in Nature<\/i>\u2019s Feb. 2013 issue. \u201cThat is critical.
