Robert Hach\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cIn consultation with the York community, we have developed a plan that is responsive to the feedback received through the last several months of consultations and is broadly inclusive and representative of the research conducted at the University,\u201d said Hach\u00e9.\u00a0 \u201cWe invite the community to provide feedback on the consultation draft as we work towards finalizing the new Strategic Research Plan.\u201d<\/p>\n
Those present at the forum were asked to share their thoughts about the consultation draft. In summary, the forum participants said they welcomed the inclusiveness of the plan and expressed appreciation for the comprehensiveness and scale of the SRP consultations.\u00a0 Among the comments\u00a0offered, there was an expression of interest in the process following the completion of the Strategic Research Plan and the targets for improving and meeting the objectives outlined in the plan.<\/p>\n
Hach\u00e9 explained that the next steps include seeking feedback on the consultation draft by continuing conversations with the broader York community through community chats and electronic feedback, and by consulting with faculty councils, research and administrative bodies across the University and the Strategic Research Plan Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n
He was joined in the open forum by the Strategic Research Plan facilitators Celia Haig-Brown, who is a professor in the Faculty of Education, and Gary Miller, instructor in the MBA program at the Schulich School of Business and Schulich Executive Education Centre.<\/p>\n
