Golf enthusiasts take note, on June 23, the Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) is hosting its seventh annual golf tournament to benefit the Adrienne and Donna Pocock Memorial Award<\/a> in FES. Since its inception, the endowment has supported 41 students and contributed more than $15,000 to the award.<\/p>\n

The tournament will take place at the Shawneeki Golf Course at 18543 Woodbine Ave., Sharon, Ontario. It starts at 11 a.m. and will continue into the evening. The cost for each ticket is $140. To register, go to https:\/\/fes.apps01.yorku.ca\/machform\/view.php?id=88915<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The cost of a ticket includes green fees, power cart, BBQ lunch, dinner, prizes and a $10,000 hole-in-one chance \u2013 $22 from each ticket sold will go towards the fund.<\/p>\n

The tournament schedule is as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

11 a.m. \u2013 Check in and 50\/50 putting contest
\n12 p.m. \u2013 BBQ Lunch
\n1 p.m. \u2013 Shotgun tee off. Scramble (rules provided)
\n4 p.m. \u2013 Apr\u00e8s golf in the clubhouse
\n5 p.m. \u2013 Dinner
\n6 p.m. \u2013 Prizes for skills, scoring and more<\/p>\n

After registering, golfers will pay the tournament fee on-site at the proshop on the day of the event.<\/p>\n
