Team Schulich brought a second-place victory home to the Schulich School of Business at York University after the annual MBA Games held in early January.<\/p>\n

\"\"The event, which first began at Queen\u2019s University in 1988, features teams from MBA programs across Canada competing in athletic, academic and spirit challenges for the Queen\u2019s Cup. This year\u2019s event, hosted by the Ted Rogers School of Management, featured 19 other Canadian business schools and included four case competitions, four sporting events and five spirit events .<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom beginning to end, they worked extremely hard, were 100 per cent committed and did everything they could to prepare,\u201d said Schulich marketing Professor Joe Fayt. \u201cI was even more proud of how they carried themselves at the games. They represented Schulich in the best possible way.\u201d<\/p>\n

In keeping with their positive attitudes, the team ranked first place overall in the Spirit category.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had countless staff members, sponsors, volunteers and opposing team captains approach us throughout the weekend to say that our team was collectively some of the most honourable individuals they have ever met,\u201d said Joseph Flagler, executive director of athletics for the Graduate Business Council and captain of Team Schulich.<\/p>\n

Schulich Dean Desz\u00f6 J. Horv\u00e1th also commended the team for their participation and impressive results.<\/p>\n
