Aulakh\" width=\"245\" height=\"245\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Preet Aulakh<\/p><\/div>\n<p>As we all try to make sense of this complex situation, thought leaders from various disciplines within Schulich\u2019s faculty will offer reflections during the Zoom format webinars hosted by <strong>Preet Aulakh<\/strong>, associate dean, Research. Speakers will present their reflections and insights for the first 10 minutes, followed by a 50-minute free-flowing discussion with the participants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this webinar series, thought leaders from Schulich will reflect on the pandemic and draw lessons for what it means for us as individuals, organizations and societies, going forward,\u201d said <strong>Ashwin Joshi<\/strong>, director of Schulich\u2019s MBA program. \u201cThe COVID-19 pandemic has made the idea of a balanced commitment to considerations about people, planet and profit especially salient.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The first webinar, \u201cCOVID-19 \u2013 A New Test for Corporate Social Responsibility,\u201d will feature <strong>Dirk Matten<\/strong>, Hewlett-Packard Chair in Social Responsibility. He will examine and draw insights from encouraging and less successful examples of companies\u2019 policies and actions in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The second webinar features <strong>David Johnston<\/strong>, director of Schulich\u2019s Master of Supply Chain Management program. He will present \u201cReflections on the Sustainability of Supply Chains\u201d and will examine how the current global crisis has exposed the strengths and weaknesses of current supply chains and the implications of this going forward.<\/p>\n<p>Each webinar can host up to 500 registrants and will be live every Tuesday and Thursday at 1 p.m. EST, <strong>starting Thursday, April 16<\/strong>.
