With the new second addition of his book, <em>The Handbook of Board Governance, <\/em>Leblanc attempts to help them do just that.<\/p>\n<p>Released on May 19, <em>The Handbook of Board Governance <\/em>provides comprehensive coverage of public, non-profit and private board governance. Featuring a collaboration of internationally recognized academics and prominent board directors, executives, managers and advisors, the second edition offers substantial new content reflecting contemporary trends, practices and future developments in board governance.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_276299\" style=\"width: 220px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-276299\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-276299\" src=\"https:\/\/yfile.news.yorku.ca\/files\/2020\/05\/Picture1-2-210x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"300\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-276299\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>The Handbook of Board Governance<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Former Cabinet Minister and Registrar of the Ontario College of Trades <strong>David Tsubouchi<\/strong> called it the definitive work for board directors and senior management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis handbook is reflective of the gold standard that is required of corporate governance,\u201d said Tsubouchi, noting that the text has direct application to government considering the agencies, boards and committees they appoint that are subject to stronger requirements of accountability and scrutiny by the public.<\/p>\n<p>Highly relevant issues such as boards\u2019 roles in climate governance, cyber security and the potential of blockchain and artificial intelligence to disrupt industries are explored in this updated edition.<\/p>\n<p>Aspiring board leaders can look to this text for insights on how to be an effective chair, non-profit governance and fundraising, shareholder engagement and strengthening collaborative leadership in the boardroom. New chapters on governance in Africa, Asia, India and Russia give readers an international perspective on a range of issues.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Handbook of Board Governance<\/em> is <a
