The appointment will strengthen the academic collaboration between the institutions and facilitate the internationalization of York\u2019s research in the field of geomatics. <\/P><br \/>\n<P><IMG hspace=\"8\" src=\"http:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/photos\/20040527\/Tao.W.Univ.3.jpg\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\"><\/P><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>Right: Wuhan University in Hubei Province, China&nbsp;<\/STRONG><\/P><br \/>\n<P>As Guest Professor, Tao will work with Wuhan University in Hubei Province's capital city, Wuhan. He has established a long-standing research collaboration with the university, which is a key&nbsp;institution directly under the administration of the Education Ministry of the People's Republic of China, and whose geomatics engineering program is well-known internationally for its high-quality teaching and research.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>In addition, Tao will be collaborating with SouthEast University, a prestigious national university located near the city centre of Nanjing.
