Parking Services provides a useful summary of these options for University community members.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear colleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the winter term approaches, Parking Services would like to take this opportunity to remind you that paid parking resumed on both campuses as of Sept. 1, 2021, and to outline the parking options available to you in January 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Community members will continue to have access to a range of daily and monthly parking options to suit their individual needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transitional Multi-Pack<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This transitional parking option is available in the form of a flexible Daily Multi-Pack prepaid pass. Available through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.honkmobile.com\/download\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.honkmobile.com\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HONK Mobile<\/a> app, the Daily Multi-Pack prepaid pass offers 10 full-day parking sessions to be used within a 30-day period.&nbsp; This option provides savings of up to 40 per cent off daily rates, depending on the type of pass selected and the number of times the pass is used during the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Surface Lot Multi-Pack is valid at all hourly\/daily surface lots and on-street parking areas<\/li><li>The Garage Multi-Pack is valid at the parking garages and includes all other hourly\/daily surface lots and on-street parking areas.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Employee Continuous Parking Permits (payroll deduction)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>All payroll deductions were cancelled in March 2020, when the University transitioned to remote services. Clients wishing to purchase a Continuous Parking Permit will need to submit a Continuous Permit application since these permits were last renewed in 2016. The Continuous Permit application and the payroll deduction forms have been combined for a more streamlined process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clients who held a Continuous Reserved or Garage permit in March 2020, but do not wish to purchase a permit for 2021-22, can have their space held until May 2022. Permits not renewed in May 2022 will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have made the decision that a permit best fits your needs and you would like your parking fees deducted from your pay, a Continuous Permit application and a copy of valid vehicle ownership(s) must be submitted to Parking Services by <strong>Dec. 17,<\/strong> to allow time for processing prior to the holiday break and to meet the January payroll deadline. If you have any outstanding parking citations, payment will be required prior to renewal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I renew my Continuous Parking Permit?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Complete a new <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/parking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/51\/2021\/07\/2021ContParkingPermit.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Continuous Permit application form<\/a> &nbsp;<\/li><li>Attach a copy of the vehicle ownership for all vehicles being registered to your new permit <\/li><li>Submit the application and vehicle ownership(s) to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:parking@yorku.ca\" target=\"_blank\">parking@yorku.ca<\/a><\/li><li>Any outstanding parking citations are required to be paid before a new permit can be issued. Please contact Parking Services in advance if you wish to discuss any citations.<\/li><li>Please note that incomplete applications will result in processing delays.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your application is processed, you will receive a confirmation email, and your permit will be active for <strong>Jan. 1, 2022<\/strong>.&nbsp;Parking Services has moved to a gateless and virtual license plate-based permit system; therefore, you will not receive a physical permit or an access card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Permit parking<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Sessional parking permits will be available for purchase <strong>online only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outer-Reserved and Reserved Permit lots will require a permit; daily payment options are not available at these lots at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clients who held a Reserved or Garage permit in March 2020, but do not wish to purchase a permit for 2021-22, can have their space held until May 2022. Permits not renewed in May 2022 will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hourly\/daily parking<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Hourly\/daily parking continues to be available at many on-street locations, surface lots and garages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Payments can be made at the pay stations located in these parking areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, contactless payments are now available through HONK Mobile. HONK Mobile enables new payment methods like Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal in addition to VISA and MasterCard. HONK Mobile payments can be made using an iOS or Android mobile device by either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Downloading the free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.honkmobile.com\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HONK Mobile app<\/a> from your device\u2019s app store<\/li><li>Tapping your phone at one of the HONK Tap signs located in each parking area<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong>: Hourly\/daily parking in the garages will require payment upon arrival and can only be made through HONK Mobile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Helping you plan<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The following demonstrates common scenarios and recommended options based on cost:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parking on campus one (1) time per week or less<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hourly\/daily parking would be the most cost-effective option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parking on campus twice per week or up to 10 times per month?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new daily HONK Multi-Pack would provide flexibility and value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><strong>Parking on campus three or more times per week<\/strong><\/a><strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Sessional\/Continuous Payroll Deduction permit would be the most cost-effective option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parking Services staff are available to answer your questions and to help you plan your commute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn more, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/parking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parking Services website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sincerely,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Anthony Barbisan<\/strong><br><strong>Executive Director, Ancillary Services Department<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Options de stationnement \u00e0 partir du 1<sup>er<\/sup>&nbsp;janvier 2022<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Chers coll\u00e8gues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019approche du trimestre d\u2019hiver, les Services de stationnement profitent de cette occasion pour vous rappeler que le stationnement est \u00e0 nouveau payant sur les deux campus de York depuis le 1<sup>er<\/sup>&nbsp;septembre 2021 et pour vous pr\u00e9senter les options qui seront offertes en janvier 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les membres de la communaut\u00e9 continueront \u00e0 disposer d\u2019une gamme d\u2019options de stationnement quotidiennes et mensuelles pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 leurs diff\u00e9rents besoins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Laissez-passer multiple transitoire<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette option transitoire de stationnement est offerte sous forme d\u2019un laissez-passer pr\u00e9pay\u00e9 flexible pour le stationnement \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e. Offert par l\u2019entremise de l\u2019application HONK Mobile, ce laissez-passer multiple pr\u00e9pay\u00e9 comprend 10&nbsp;journ\u00e9es compl\u00e8tes de stationnement \u00e0 utiliser sur une p\u00e9riode de 30&nbsp;jours.&nbsp;&nbsp; Cette option permet d\u2019\u00e9conomiser jusqu\u2019\u00e0 40&nbsp;% sur les tarifs \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e, en fonction du type de laissez-passer choisi et du nombre de jours o\u00f9 le laissez-passer est utilis\u00e9 au cours du mois.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Le laissez-passer pour les aires de stationnement ext\u00e9rieur est valable pour toutes les aires ext\u00e9rieures et les zones de stationnement sur rue, \u00e0 l\u2019heure ou \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e<\/li><li>Le laissez-passer pour les aires de stationnement int\u00e9rieur est valable dans les garages et inclut toutes les autres aires ext\u00e9rieures et les zones de stationnement sur rue, \u00e0 l\u2019heure ou \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Permis de stationnement permanent pour les employ\u00e9s (retenue salariale)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Toutes les retenues salariales ont \u00e9t\u00e9 suspendues en mars 2020, lorsque l\u2019Universit\u00e9 est pass\u00e9e aux services \u00e0 distance. Les clients qui souhaitent acheter un permis de stationnement permanent devront soumettre une demande de permis permanent, car le dernier renouvellement de ce type de permis \u00e9tait en 2016. La demande de permis permanent et les formulaires de retenue salariale ont \u00e9t\u00e9 combin\u00e9s pour simplifier le processus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les clients qui d\u00e9tenaient un permis permanent de place r\u00e9serv\u00e9e ou de place en garage en mars 2020 et ne souhaitent pas racheter un tel permis pour 2021-2022, peuvent conserver leur espace jusqu\u2019en mai 2022. Les permis non renouvel\u00e9s en mai 2022 seront propos\u00e9s \u00e0 la personne suivante sur la liste d\u2019attente. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si vous avez d\u00e9cid\u00e9 qu\u2019un permis correspond le mieux \u00e0 vos besoins et que vous souhaitez que vos frais de stationnement soient d\u00e9duits de votre salaire, une demande de permis de stationnement permanent et une copie du ou des titres de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 valides du v\u00e9hicule doivent \u00eatre soumises aux Services de stationnement d\u2019ici le <strong>17&nbsp;d\u00e9cembre 2021,<\/strong> afin de permettre le traitement avant le cong\u00e9 des f\u00eates et de respecter la date limite de la paie de janvier. Si vous avez des contraventions impay\u00e9es, leur paiement sera exig\u00e9 avant le renouvellement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Comment renouveler mon permis de stationnement permanent?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Remplissez un nouveau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/parking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/51\/2021\/07\/2021ContParkingPermit.pdf\">formulaire de demande de permis permanent<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/parking\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/51\/2021\/07\/2021ContParkingPermit.pdf\"><\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong><\/strong><\/li><li>Joignez une copie du titre de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de tous les v\u00e9hicules enregistr\u00e9s sur votre nouveau permis. <strong><\/strong><\/li><li>Soumettez la demande et le(s) titre(s) de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 du v\u00e9hicule \u00e0 <a href=\"mailto:parking@yorku.ca\">parking@yorku.ca<\/a><strong><\/strong><\/li><li>Toute contravention en souffrance doit \u00eatre pay\u00e9e avant qu\u2019un nouveau permis puisse \u00eatre d\u00e9livr\u00e9. Veuillez contacter les Services de stationnement \u00e0 l\u2019avance si vous souhaitez discuter de toute contravention.<strong><\/strong><\/li><li>Veuillez noter que les demandes incompl\u00e8tes entra\u00eeneront des retards de traitement.<strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Une fois votre demande trait\u00e9e, vous recevrez un courriel de confirmation et votre permis sera actif en date du <strong>1<sup>er&nbsp;<\/sup>janvier 2022<\/strong>. Les Services de stationnement sont pass\u00e9s \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me de permis sans portes d\u2019acc\u00e8s et bas\u00e9 sur un syst\u00e8me de plaque d\u2019immatriculation virtuelle; vous ne recevrez donc pas de permis physique ni de carte d\u2019acc\u00e8s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Permis de stationnement<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Les permis de stationnement pour une session compl\u00e8te pourront \u00eatre achet\u00e9s <strong>en ligne uniquement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un permis sera n\u00e9cessaire pour les places r\u00e9serv\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur ou \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur; les options de paiement \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e ne sont actuellement pas offertes pour ces zones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les clients qui d\u00e9tenaient un permis de place r\u00e9serv\u00e9e ou de place en garage en mars 2020, qui ne souhaitent pas racheter un tel permis pour 2021-2022, peuvent conserver leur place r\u00e9serv\u00e9e jusqu\u2019en mai 2022.
