- YU-card Mail Requests without an approved photo or valid mailing address will be declined.
- Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing and delivery.
- Do not submit a Mail Request if you need your card immediately for meal plan, door access, Library curbside pickup, or live on campus.
- A replacement fee applies for reprints once a card has been printed and dispatched.
YU-card Mailing Requirements
The YU-card mail delivery option is available to new students, faculty and staff who have never been issued a card before and have an approved photo upload on file. If you need a replacement or renewal card, please contact the YU-card Office for more information.
For Security purposes, YU-cards can only be mailed to addresses on file with University records and within Canada. Please confirm or update your address information prior to submitting the Mail Request Form.
Please note that the YU-card Office is not responsible for incorrect addresses, lost or late deliveries. A $30.00 replacement fee applies once a card has been printed and dispatched from our office.
How to Request a YU-card for Mail Delivery
Step 1: Photo on File
Applicants requesting their YU-card by mail must have an approved photo upload before submitting the Mail Request Form. Please upload your YU-card photo, supporting documents, and wait for approval before continuing.
Step 2: Email Confirmation
Wait to receive a “YU-card Photo Approval” email in your @my.yorku.ca or @yorku.ca account.
Depending on volume, the approval and confirmation can take 3-5 business days.
Step 3: Submit Your YU-card Mail Request
Once you have received an approval confirmation and would like your YU-card delivered to your home address, please login with your Passport York ID to submit a YU-card Mail Request Form.
