just wrote along post and it vanished. let's test this.

last week she fell just before we were about to get into the car to drive to Ottawa. we gave her an ice cube to suck. when she was finished she said 'one more ice' -- her first sentence!

words are coming fast, now.... and she can repeat everything.
yesterday: shirt off

last weekend, in Ottawa with Auntie marnie she watched the Disney film Dumbo. the next morning she wanted to tell me about it:
"dimbo fly UP!' she said. and then grabbed both her earlobes and made them flap.

she is a wonderful communicator. and the best girl in the universe, of course.

long walk today along the river. rushing water. threw small stones. last week she discovered puddles and stirred her reflection with a stick... my gorgeous little narcissus. yesterday had a shot at the doctor's and cried real tears. can say up, baby, doggie, booby, mama, tatie, mine and NO (with head shake) , marnie, daisy, oooooo, byebye, yum
can bring her jacket and her boots when asked, knows what to do when you say 'where is the cat?',
likes the book 'where's pup?' , goodnight moon, pat the bunny, especially the page where she can put her finger through the ring hole
her hair is long and has never been cut, big soft curls at the back, long across her eyes in the front. we try to keep a barette in and jodi has even MOUSSED HER! but mostly it's just loose and wild

harriet's first trip to an amusement park. We went late -- 8ish and it was perfect weather. her first ride ever: the carousel. I choose a littel blue shark -- you sit in its mouth and go up and down. we were told she was too small and would have to sit in the stupid train (that doesn't go up and down) but i made a fuss and they let me spot her on the shark. she loved it! sadly, no pictures. we moved on to a ride where we sat in coconuts.. the coconuts went up and up and up until we wre in the tops of hte trees. After that jodi took Harriet on a swan ride across the little lake.

Margaret Mercury attended her first concert today -- watching her godfather drum with the great poopas... no, the mighty pom pom... at Harbourfront. He was great and Harriet danced throught he first bit and selpt right through the rest ;) then went to ribfest where she gnawed a bone! then tasted lemon water for the first time. Jodi put her finger in the lermondae and hled it to Harriet's lips and harriet nodded 'yes yes!' . all in all an excellent day. oh, also was able to be outdoors in a sundress and it was so hot Harriet kicked off her socks and shoes. Amazing!
