Based on the readings for this unit, reflect on the following questions (or others that seem relevant to you). Keep in mind that your focus is on 'reading' these articles from the point of view of praxis issues (issues of organizing and political practice).

1. Reflect on

*both the potential and limits of social identities as the basis for effective political practice

*the relationship between social identities and political ideologies

*differences among women as a source of political strength and/or fragmentation

*the possibilities for bridging social identities through alliances and in coalition work. 

2. Identify and discuss those concepts and theories in the articles that you think contribute most to building an analysis of the relationship among diversities, identities and political practice.

3. Conclude with a reflection on new insights into organizing you have gained from reading this material, and the questions that this material has raised and not answered.
