KSPC (Keystrokes Per Character) Download Web Page

This is the download page for the software used to compute the statistics in KSPC (keystrokes per character) as a characteristic of text entry techniques, the paper by myself published in the proceedings of MobileHCI 2002.

The software was written in Java. The download includes the source and class files as well as documentation explaining the operation and use of the software.

  • Zip file (includes everything you need): click here
To get started, just unzip the files into a directory and open KSPCWords.html in a browser. After reading this, open in turn BuildKeystrokes.html and T9.html and read these.

If you have any problems, questions, or comments, please let me know.

Good luck,

Scott MacKenzie (mack@cse.yorku.ca).
