Information for current and prospective students

Supervision of graduate student work

I am interested in supervising students who want to conduct research on language contact and multilingualism, particularly from an interactional sociolinguistic perspective, but also relating to written language and linguistic landscape. I am also interested in supervising research that investigates sociolinguistic or pragmatic issues in language and law or in interpreting.

If your interest is primarily in second language education, I'm not the right supervisor for you.

Letters of reference

If you are a current or past student and would like me to write a letter of reference for you, please contact me at least two weeks before the letter is due and provide me with information about the program or position that you are applying for. Please send me also your statement of interest or application letter, along with a copy of your CV.
