Essay Writing Workshop-

Part I: Punctuating your Presentation

Professor Robyn Gillam

Wednesday 18 March

1-2:15 pm

Junior Common Room, Winters College

Professor Gillam is a well known Egyptologist who has published widely in her field and in Museum studies.  She has been at York for many years where she is well known for her staging of Egyptian rituals in her courses.  She is also a long standing member of the writing workshop teams on campus.  The main topics of this first session in Winters will focus on effective punctuation and on refining and structuring sentences.  Subsequent sessions will consider topics of immediate concern to you as essay writers.  All are welcome to come and to tell us what you need.  Those of have not already done so, should reply to wcmaster@yorku.ca and let us know if you are coming.

1. For information about tuition credits for courses that you wish to drop or which you already have dropped go to: Tuition Credit

The deadline for dropping Fall courses was 10 March

and full year courses 3 April.  You must use your credit for Winter and/or Summer courses this year and/or Fall/Winter courses in 2009-2010.  Credits will expire on 30 April 2010.

2. Final and definitive answers to questions about tuition credits and rebates will be found at the Bennett Centre.  We can not give you rebates!  Some of what you owe York may be from Library or Parking fines to which I do not think credits can be applied.

3. The schedule for Workshops sponsored by the Learning Skills Programme  during March may be found at: Learning Skills Workshops

4. Here's from the Career Centre: Programmes, Workshops & Seminars
